Air flow should not be a problem at all. So many seem to think you need single file stacks when it is not necessary and also makes the stacks weaker rather than stronger. Many end up re-stacking because of it.

The most I remember stacking rows together was 21. No. There was absolutely no problem drying the wood. But typically we mostly tend to stack 3 rows together and have never had a drying problem. So I say if you want to stack wood around the shed, by all means do it but stack more than one row together to give it some strength.

Best yet though would be to put slats up on the sides. They do not have to be big slats. A 1 x 3 or 1 x 4 works great. Even a snow fence will work great.

If you don't intend to use it for wood storage, then I recommend filling it with something Orange, Blue, or Green. Diesel powered, of course! :tractor:

Darin D’s outdoor bar and grill. Outdoor kitchen. Already has power. Build a small bar, hang a tv, few chairs. You’ll be the life of the neighborhood for 3 seasons!!

If you use it for wood storage, consider leaving two sides open so you can empty 1/2 then refill it while using the other 1/2. That way all of the wood gets used in a year or two.

My thoughts as well. Under cover splitting area, lighted for those short Winter days.
