I’ll second the Dolkita. One hen of a good saw. My 6100 is a proven Husky eater.

I search FBM and CL for saw deals. Both were on FBM. Drove an hour one way for the 024. He was asking 125 and accepted my 100 offer to my surprise.
Saw count is 9-10 Stihls, one Husky, plus a couple non runners. It was kinda fun to have four at the site over the weekend. Some of the wood was skidded so if one dulled grab the next! Didnt have a choice as i forgot my trusty toolbox with extra chains the first day!

Not being happy with the 170, but liking the lightweight and ease of handling when limbing, cutting smalls, (it took some getting used to) i wanted a better rear handle for this purpose. Considered a new 193/194 rear handle ( roughly $400 out the door new) and spend time daily looking for saw deals on CL/FBM. Small rear handles seldom come up for sale and when they do they are still pricey. I had seen a couple new 201's less than MSRP but not close to me and really didnt wanna spend that much on a saw that i wont use a whole lot. This one popped up (4 hours old). PMed the guy and offered $350 on his $400. He accepted and was nice enough to meet me halfway Sunday morning even though he was half hour away.
Saw less than two years old bought by his father. Used top handles in this condition easily bring over $500, so i think i done gooder! May run it today. Only a few cuts with it Sunday.

I have been in touch with Kevin and had considered getting the 261 ported/modded but cant justify spending that much for it. If i was on a 2-3 saw plan or if i routinely cut large quantities of wood in a single cutting yes i would do it. My other "fear" id that ill love it and want all my saws to be done.

That's what I have 6421. It's a very nice saw. I tried my friends new 6100 and once a non safety chain is on it, it will perform very well. He's only got a couple of tanks through it, so it's definitely not broken in yet.

I smoked a 72cc Husky running a 20” bar, and I was running a 24” bar. ( love winding up the Huskvarna guys on here) I’ve only run about 1&1/2 gallons thru mine so this summer I will likely take it to the dealer and have it tuned up.

My 6421 cuts about the same, if not a little faster than my buddy's magnum 460 which is a 80cc saw. We both run the same chain woodland pro 72dl full chisel 3/8, .050 and same 20" length bars. It weighs less than the 460 too. His saw is quieter though.;)

Since I did the MM on the 180, it has really woke up. We did another little upgrade to it yesterday...
Changed over from the 16" .043 bar to a 14" .050 bar. Difference is that you can get yellow/pro chain in .050 gauge, other bar is green/safety chain only. It had some wear on the rails too.

It has a bigger cutter as well, be able to sharpen more, it is still the PM, semi chisel, he is ordering some PS, full chisel chains, I'll get one of those too. That will cut faster.
This is a 13-14" oak log...
Cut 95% of this load with it. Had 1 bigger log with huge knots, used the Husky 55 on it. 0112211532_HDR.jpg
