One is coming good and the others are ok, I should've planted more in the area that is doing good, more sun in that area.
I finally made my way up top so I could get the rest of the rounds of this Maple, I split that along with some Cherry. I'm thinking that what I cut last fall and the Maple I cut this year, I've replace what we burned this year which is 1.5 cord. I also think that we have close to 1.2 cord of Cherry c/s. Pic 9990 is loaded up and coming home,9991 & 92 is what I split,9993 is the Cherry pile I added to,9994 will go with the rest of the Maple and 95 & 96 is the Maple I split today.
It is hard to believe but Sunday my wife and I took a long walk around a neighbor's woods and in the middle of the lane in one place she found a sprout from a new oak. Just peeking out of the acorn. This seems a bit early especially with the weather being so cold but the oaks are strong. Now they say there may be another 3-5" of albino rain tonight and tomorrow. That will slow down the growth.
