drove around to look over the logging work. for the second time, I collected a load of felling wedges and other small cutt-offs, while scouting which tree tops I will cut up first. These things make good holsen house center fillers. Figure this is about a day worth of burning in the OWB. Plus, it was nice to be in the woods. Spent some time splitting about two ricks for the next house. Shingling the latest one with the de-barking remnants.
I do that myself, one hunting season as i was coming off the hill, they had been burning slash. I come around a corner here is about 7 nice logs really close to the fire, i could not go home with out them. It was almost totally dark by the time i got them in the back of the pickup. But, get them home i did. Man they were nice, stuck out past the dropped down tailgate about 2 ft. And since i don't like to leave my pickup loaded with wood, i came home and unloaded them that night. Good score by the way, looks like some nice wood, your out and about no reason not to bring some thing home!!
