I saw on my FB feed today from Energex that they made upgrades at the plant and are taking on new dealers/distributors with an application link....
Decent pellets at the local HD are still commanding a 40-50 dollar premium in pricing, they fully know what is the good stuff here.
There oughtta be a law.. Wait, there is. I just hope those folks get some resolution, or compensation back, when it's said and done.
You know there is someone that could sell them truckloads of softies if they pony up the cash. So their excuse that they were screwed or whatever is bullchit...they could EASILY get pellets if they wanted to.
Yeah, I know that. They could even drive their truck to the local BBS and pickup pellets to deliver to these folks, lots to be had there. But we know that ain't gonna happen.
Exactly! That too!!! It probably hard for them to buy pellets if the money was spent on something else though
Personally I hope these upstanding folks from Wilson Power go to jail and become some Bubba's girl friend , he always delivers
Not going to bite on that one Steve, posting on a public forum.. But will say Props & Respect to the folks that posted in that thread for alerting others, and truly hope it works out favorably for them.
I know, that you know, that I know, that you knew, what I was talking about... But I feel that sometime, an opinion from one that is involved with selling a particular line, can appear to be of the mindset that the only stuff worth a hoot out there, is the stuff that they have. That is far from the truth.... and I just don't want people to wrongly think of us that way... So that is the reason for the occasional disclaimer... Dan
I know I've said this before many times and I'm guilty of this myself but ash volume doesn't always equate to an "ashy" pellet by standards. There are pellets I test that have a higher ash volume that doesn't weigh up much and vice versa. So far with my new stove I don't care about it as much as I did with my EP that has a smaller ash pan and a burn pot design that accumulates ash around it quickly with a higher ash volume pellet.
For many years I heard they were all the same, No difference. Didn't matter what you got. One fella said they all come from the same mill?? We also had a few dealers sayin softwoods were junk and would wreck my stove! And then we go the other extreme where many are saying boxes pretty much only sell high ash crap. I took all these myths with a grain of salt and came to my own conclusions. Got bored one day(actually several months) and tested every freekin brand I could get my hands on. No they are not all the same. No softwoods didn't wreck my stove. And when you did some diggin, Who knows what you will find..............
And I for one am glad you did When I was a Newbie hanging out on the dark side I read all of your reviews and learned a lot about pellets and my stove and I Thank you for that Jay , OK time for another
And I am grateful for that JT, those spreadsheets you created & the hours/weeks/months worth of testing you did were a HUGE help to me last December '14 when we were starting out with the stove here. (Thanks JT.) We are very limited here in the types of pellets we can burn, it's softies only in the Francesca, a "blended" pellet works ok for awhile, but eventually will clog up the deep burn pot, even with combustion air 'torching' them.. And most 'yellow pine' softies are out, else the wife is sneezing constantly (allergies), and I'm out sleeping in the woodshed again. I'm looking forward to finishing repairs on the 25-PDVC / having a stove with a burn plate, so I can see how the 'other half' lives.. Steve, Thanks & Respect to you and dpopps for 'carrying the torch' with your excellent reviews: they are valued and most appreciated here. -- It's not just the BBS pricing w/ hardwood pellets: the local gas station I was getting Cleanfire Pacifics from last season @ 6.99 / bag is now selling Cleanfire hardwood pellets at the same pricing. I stopped in and asked if/when they might start selling CF Pacific pellets, answer was "Dunno, not anytime soon."
