Clearing the trail is like doing the laundry. You know you will need to do it again and again. The longer you wait, the more it piles up.

Woodlands. You need someone like a few of the guys on here to develop you a grapple attachment for the front of a small four drive tractor. The grapple would have a chain saw on each end that would rotate down and cut through any trees and brush. The blade would start out standing straight up and when you pushed or pulled your auxiliary hydraulics the blade would run off the hydraulics and slowly swing down and cut through whatever. You would then just drive away and take it to the nearest processing area for later cutting. I'll bet they could even come up with one for a side by side. Now, about those leaners and hangers.

 Am I reading that right? 60-69 mph for Ogdensburg? !

I just went down and cut down a dead White Pine that was within reach of the power line. Everything else "looks" like they are healthy. Eventually I am going to get to the point where I cut everything anywhere near the line, but hopefully for now it will be okay through this wind.

You would be reading that right, time to fill the gas tanks. It looks like we'll have more firewood, the lot has taken a beating this year which I hate.

    Stay Safe.

That low coming in from the west will bring some white stuff.

Winds are starting to pick up here but not bad yet. They say it'll get really windy after midnight. Been raining all day and I have a yard full of wet leaves. If the rain lets up the wind might do my raking for me.

Gas cans topped off. Warm enough that I'm going to unplug the Pellet stove at camp to protect from any surge if power goes out. I have a flat on my cart that my generator sits on.

Only saying gusts around 20mph, but they seem more than that. Maybe 30ish.

Good luck with getting the wind to do your raking AMC. I hope you don't end up with more of a mess than just leaves. Batten down the hatches just in case man. Tie things down. You will get most if it at night and early morning while sleeping and not wanting to get out of bed!

I tied down the kids trampoline. That's been known to turn into an airborne hazard in the past. If it takes off, then the big maple it's tied to is going with it.

We'll see if the trash can I put out at the end of the drive tonight ends up in the orchard across the street. Wouldn't be the first time. ;)

I shouldn't even check the weather. Zaps weather reports are always on target. Now another weather outfit is saying 40+mph. Keep fingers crossed for our southern members too with all the tornadoes. Everybody be safe tonight!

Currently sitting without power here in Kentucky. It went out around 1:30 AM after a 75mph gust of wind came through. Quite a few houses with trees through their roof. If anyone is in the path of this system, be prepared as it is quite potent!

It got super nasty here about 2am. Stayed up for about an hour watching it wondering if I should wake the family up and head to the basement. That was some of the worst wind I have had for quite a while. Hope everyone made it through ok!
