For the last many years we are normally all done with the stoves by the first week of June, but this year we are getting short shots of 90 F weather that started back in April with stretches of cool wet weather. We have the Big Whit running this morning again. The past few mornings have seen a fire in the stove. Normally I light the little Whit, but since we are still remodeling in the living room it's easier to run the big stove in the family room. Very strange to see the stove running this late in June. I lit it up 3 times yesterday, once real early in the morning, then again about 3 or so, and then again at about 7 pm to get the chill off. Weird weather. Weather folks say 80's F by Sunday
Odd here also. Sometimes, June is very wet. This year it is very dry. Only a couple days in the 80's. Having to water the gardens nearly every day.
Hi Snowy Strange weather here too! It was very hot in the 90s now it is cool again! In the workshop, I got the air exchanger in for the spring and fall and the Advance for the winter heat. I'm thinking rottiman is up to something in the great northern neighboring country. Maybe he and that guy named bogydave way out Northwest are coordinating and alternating eating tacos and pizza and beans and franks and having fun at our expense. The temps are fluctuating often.
Supposed to touch 90 tomorrow. We're lucky the humidity is low or we'd be sweltering! tomorrow and hope there's a breeze or we'll be packin it in early..
Somebody is messing with the weather me thinks. Yup yup Today the remnants of this last wet system have moved into the Rockies and we are gonna see upper 70's low 80's F today and 90 by Monday I really like the "Few days hot" then cool and showery for a week. Our hay farmers got a nice stretch of hot weather to GITTERDONE for the first cutting Great hay weather, and they got some good hay in the barn before this last wet session. Never seen us run stoves this late into June though. A couple days of fires, then run the AC for a few days ???????????????
