Stove top or stove pipe temps?

    I find the whole deal fascinating...fire science, how chimneys work (more than just "hot air rises")
    As far as the BK's, since they have some manual control, I think they can be turned down too low...the Kuuma has some manual adjustment to it, but the computer is always monitoring the fire (from inside the firebox) and will open the primary air if the temp drops below the setpoint for clean burning...which often times there is almost no wood actually "on fire" burning (looks like a lit cigar on the end if you open the door at the right time) and the heat is almost totally coming from the secondary fire in the upper burn chamber.
