We visited friends for a couple days, no heat left on, it was chilly when we came back 1217201841.jpg
I got a fire going, finally able to stuff it with some chunks and give it some air

Man... one of these day I'll get to play... I've only been doing half or partial loads... Haven't needed the heat.... Possible this week. I think I saw some teens as lows..... until then... I'll watch...

First pic of the new to us stove in our new to us house. I load the stuff I cut e-w, which isn’t much to look at. This is mostly pine that the previous owner left.

Only one stove brand that burns like that. ;) It’s a Blaze King Princess, the firebox is just under 3.

I could easily get 2-3 1/2. That's almost the same, right?

I had to leave for the night, so I loaded her up with 13" alder chunks. The house was pretty warm after burning all day, so hopefully it'll still be warm when I get home.

I still have a stack of noodled blocks from the maples I had cut down 3 years ago. My days off are a good time for chunks and uglies. One chunk per load. 20201228_154803.jpg 20201228_154735.jpg
