    Yes. My SBI magnetic one sits right on the top in the center. There's plenty of room for it.

    Choochin is safe anywhere from 300-700.
    Above 700my tubes glow dull red. I aim for 500...its easy to maintain 400-550 consistently on a long burn. Be mindful of the temp and air if you have a loosely packed stove on reload. The tight packs you can relax more with, the self regulate to some degree by limiting the flammable surfaces. Big super dry chunks also do that well.
