Just received my stove and chimney pipes. They forgot the stove adapter. Can I put the damper right on top of the stove or do I need to order the adapter?
What brand and kind of stove pipe? For some brands, the damper section is intended to serve as the stove adapter.
I was hoping one of the resident experts would chime in on this. I can't find anything in DuraVent's literature that really says one way or the other. I would suggest calling the retailer, if you haven't already, and find out what they say.
The damper can go right on top of the stove. I'm not sure you even need a stove adapter for single wall pipe, most stoves have a female collar that accepts the single wall pipe
