Once I get the rest of the wood out, I'll use the blower to clear the trail debris and get a final pic or two. The majority of the wood in these pics is already moved to the pile. The neighbor is coming to get two loads next week. 20240808_145716.jpg 20240808_174540.jpg 20240808_174529.jpg 20240809_122200.jpg 20240808_145659.jpg 20240808_174527.jpg 20240808_174511.jpg 20240808_153703.jpg 20240808_174558.jpg 20240808_174507.jpg 20240808_174500.jpg 20240808_174441.jpg 20240808_174456.jpg 20240808_145723.jpg

Nearly a 1/4 mile drag up to the staging area.

I've changed strategies. Top them where they lay, drag out as much log as I can and get them off the ground for later cutting. We cut up the tops into burnable sizes and bucket them out.

Nice work, brother. Wish you had a grapple. You could cut into log length and carry out, doesn't tear up the ground as bad. But you gotta do it the beat way you can.
We have a ton of clean up from hurricane Helene.
Just a few of the trees and loads done so far.

Thank you brother. Belive me, if I could go back in time, this tractor would have the quick detatch leader bucket and 3rd function hydraulics. very pricey to do it now but still considering it.

I hope your cleanup goes well. Stay safe.

Our tractor had pin-on bucket too.
We found a deal on a used 525 loader QA assembly, then got the 3rd function valve. Yes it's $$$, but sure has helped us alot

More today. I had to blaze a new "logging" trail today to get to that mess. 20241101_105127.jpg 20241101_105132.jpg 20241101_105139.jpg

Id say, if you count just getting trees out of the woods only, probably 40-50% done. If you count all the logs needing processing as well, 20% -25% done. There are several trees standing that had the entire can of pee busted out. Tall fat flag poles. Those will be coming down too. There are several heavy leaners as well I'll take out as they will come down eventually. I'd rather it be at a time of my choosing.

    Update...

Tested out the new to me Echo CS4010 chainsaw before I start modifications.
The red arrow is pointing at the first log I took off before dragging the rest out and limbing it.
