    Went to clean the flue prior to the first fire of the season yesterday and found hundreds in the flue. Vacuumed them and the ashes out and started the first fire. Stove is purring like a kitten now.

    We're inundated with them here. We had some last year but it's substantially worse this year.

    Looked up that thing... said... "some insecticides are ineffective." ... must be some kinda chem that'll kill em. Wonder what permethrin does to em? Good luck. We had a bad prob with J beetles at our other house. They have a smell too but I'm thinkin they're not as odarious rootootootinus as yours... ;)
