Chain drive.House had no grounding outlets,so adapter was used(installed by dealer)so do not know if board is ok.Cover on ignitor loose. No gasket used on outlet adaper, just stove cement, big ridge by sensor,so semsor was just completely surrounded, blocked.Tons of silicone on pipe adapter to pipe, reducing diameter by1/3. 3/4" ridge of carbon in pot, left ro right, almost all the way across.Carbon built up in auger tube(because of pot) on right side(facing) back to feed hole, rust underneath carbon, but cleanded up nice.Stove is 06,bought late 08,not run in 3 years, has been serviced 3-4 times by dealer(4 broken screws in exhaust adapter, yet has had less than 10 tons burned. No room sensor, gal said whenever she lit it she just fiddeled with knobs till it looked ok. Auger motor has loose bushing, bent impeller on exhaust blower.By the way what was the bulletin for using the high alt. double impeller?Thanks.[/quote]
all of that stuff is pretty "fixable"....I know it sounds like a lot, but its really mostly an accumulation of negligent maintenance and also possibly poor service on the part of the service techs.............as for the hi altitude impeller, whats yer altitude?
It's all cleaned, ready to go,parts showed up in mail today,so guess what I will be doing this weekend.Stove came from the valley 5300',will be at 6500' at my house. Will be an up and out install.
If you install the needed 4" exhaust pipe (for any install above 2500' elevation) and don't get the airflow you think you should have, then maybe give it a try. BTW, you might want to bring this up in the regular pellet forum.....kinda buried here.
I'm not sure a high elevation kit is available for the Eco 65. I'm pretty sure they were speaking about Harman units. As imacman said, Go with the 4 inch venting. If there are issues? You would need to contact Drolet. They may have a kit or a program adjustment for the controller.
AFAIK, there is only a hi altitude impeller for the one sided impellers, not the two sided (Harman only).......its a must to do the 4" pipe at high altitude.....we don't see it here, as we are lowlanders.........
