Thanks... Ordered a 28" light bar and a full skip chain for it, will be a nice setup along with my soon to be MM'd 362 for those few times I run into a big boy I normally pass up cause they are too big.

Those big boys make you work for the splits unless just a perfect red oak or other easy splitting wood

28" is alot of bar and chain for the 362, but I personally think after Randy gets done with it that it well pull it, I would however recommend having Randy put the High Output oiler pump guts in the oiler while he has it torn apart, it well oil that 28 inch bar much better than the stock oiler

you can order them through the dealer, was around $40 or so when I got mine a few months ago. they had to order them but they came in within a week

Yea your gonna want a high output liked on that!!!

Running a 25 and 32" bar on the 650 I wish I had a high output oiler. The stock one sure seems on the stingy side.

So, does this mean on my MS290 with 20" bar that came with a green chain, that I cannot install a yellow chain on the stock bar? I assume my stock bar is a green bar?

You can use any chain as long as it is the correct pitch and gauge. It doesn't matter if it is a low kickback chain or not. That being said, you probably won't notice a difference cutting with a yellow or green chain unless you are bore cutting with the tip.

Yep you can run green chain , yellow chain, husky chain (oregon), oregon chain, carlton or whatever. You dont have to just run still green on green bar

I just got a loop of stihl rs yellow for my 16" 029 super.

I'll try it out tomorrow. I've got a bunch of rounds to make and haul. I'll hoping it saves me some time and effort.
