I assisted with sending our production units to Indonesia.

pretty much the same thing. We made the arm for the read write heads in hard disk drives.

the labor, osha and epa reasons were astonishing.

those that got to go TO Indonesia and setup and train the production centers to the locals would come home and swear they’d never go back.

But then really, so much great stuff comes from China too. My awesome champion generators, iPhones I’m typing on now, etc.

I believe the difference in quality lies between a made in china product, by a reputable manufacturer, vs a Chinese product made in china. Generac has Chinese made generators. I have one. It's not a Chinese counterfeit, its a real generac. I'm not happy about it being made there but, like most of us, it was a cost driven purchase. I wanted a Honda or Yamaha and would have eventually purchased one until this 2200i generac came up on an Amazon black Friday sale 3 years ago for $349.
