I had a 440 with open back and DP on the bench about the same time as a 046 with open back and DP with D shaped cylinder. Otherwise all stock both of them. The 046 was on new rings not broke in. No comparison really in the cuts. 046 d shaped cc hands down not even broke in. So a ported 461 for a 440. no doubt I would do it IF I had one.
Dex is like bryanr2, he's a saw hoarder. Guess I need to go make some more videos of the 461 and start embedding them in his brain til I break him. I will let him sit and stew for a week then I will have to get another video or 2 and send them his way. Like Steven says no when to walk away ; oh wait that's right he doesn't walk away until he gets what he wants
Im not a "saw horder" Im a "saw whore". they are my only vice.... I mean addiction.... I mean need. Im thinking about my saws (and those I dont have YET) atleast 40% of my day....which says alot about their importance to me, bc I am a "Production Junkie". My mood is directly linked to my productivity. Got up early yesterday and went to Lowes, came home and skirted the front porch and ran corrugated pipe across the front of the house (new gutters this week). At 3pm yesterday Hines Fine Soil delivered 10 yards of premium soil mix. They wouldnt back down my asphalt driveway so dropped it on the street. I got my shovel and wheelbarrow out and started moving dirt. Worked at it 4 hrs yesterday. Got up and hit it again this morning with my 4 and 5 yr old girls, and my 8 year old son. We had it all done, spread, and smoothed with a rake by 3pm.
