Falling timber with a 36" bar they would get about 25 minutes on a tank of fuel. I've fell timber with a few 066 Mag/660Mag Stihls.
    Their fuel economy wasn't debilitating.

Man ... you gotta have some big - pipes felling all day with a 660 using a 36” bar ... most guys are worn out after about an hour with that German Panzer !

I find that my 660 feels really gooder and nimble after running the 088 with 42" bar

Our cutting day is 6-7 hours . None stop . In good timber with chisel ground chains a 660 will burn 2 1/2 gal of saw gas. .
Its a lightweight compared to an 056, 2100, 3120, 075 or 076, 084 Its even lighter than the 394/395 Huskys.
An 076 will flat wear a guy out as will a 3120 or 084. Ive cut timber with all of them except 395. Ive cut lots of millions of feet of timber with all of them. It just is what the job is.
Packin the saw isnt the hardest thing a faller does all day long.
I was never much of a picture taker when I was cuttin so I dont have much for pics of when I cut timber full time. Sometimes I would go a couple years without taking a pic.

Well ... ya gotta take into consideration the fact that I live in Buffalo N.Y. ... the land of Gourmet Pizza ; Chicken Wings and at one time ; the Guinness world record holder for most taverns on one strip ! Some hard-working Irish guys for sure this neck ‘0’ The Woods - STIHL after about an hour straight most gents are worn out running the 660 ...

Ya , they musta never lernt how to embrace the suck . ;-)
I hands down prefer the 394/395 to the 660. Got it beat all hollow on the stump. And running a 36" bar they balance much better.
But they are a fair bit heavier.
Still a few pounds lighter than the 2100/2101.
But. The 660 is a truly great saw. .

Ya, if I was feelin good and in the timber for it. I would go thru 3 gallons of saw gas in 6 1/2 hours.

What year is the saw, are you the only owner, and do you have a picture of the stickers by the throttle with the dates?

Also what is razer chain. Home ground with a sharp angle? If so does it dull quickly?

Really? How are you getting 50-100% more fuel mileage out of a 460 than most people do? (and what's it in?)

Nothing special. even my brother-in-law gets 12mpg in a 28' Citation Motor home with 410 Dana rear end with his 1986 460 , we both run 91 Octane . He'll have buddies with 460,s that with holly carb conversion and headers that achieve 18 mpg with a 25% horsepower gain to boot . Don,t know what your smoking in NE Ohio , but it's causing 50-100% fuel economy reductions , 7 mpg....bahaha keep drinking the Kool-Aid Dude !

I'm going say it you're full of chit.
My 460 does 8.2 mpg on a good day with a tail wind, the best I can see you getting in your truck is 10-12.
Maybe if you had a zf-5 in yours you hit 12 but not with a c6.
And there is no way in hell no 28' motor home with a 460 is getting 12mpg end of story.
    I have a 351 in a 88 e-250 camper and it just makes that.
Show us the numbers, take a screenshot of the application you're using to prove those numbers.
Otherwise you're full of hot air and they didn't teach you math very well in the great white north.
