Little brother to the 361. But it's closer than you'd think. I almost scared to get the thing ported.
I'll take an o44/372/268 with a screwdriver for $200, Alex. /As someone with no desire for an m-tronic or auto tune saw I find these threads amusing. --- 'Hey check out this latest greatest saw (btw it doesn't run as good as 20 year old husky's but you don't need screwdriver)
I'll put it up against any stock 268, 272, 371, or 372 you care to run Mike. There is more to this saw than mTronic. It ain't as nutsy as a dual-port or muff-modded 460, but it will hold its own up against a 20 year old Husky for sure.
The saw isn't a slouch. And the 460 did take almost 12 pulls w/choke to pop. Where the 441 took 2.. Yes 2 and I hit the throttle and she was running. Gonna give it about 10 more tanks and send it down the road to Cuddle lane (Cottle Lane) This is Randys favorite saw for a reason and I will soon find out why. Asfor the comments I have read elsewhere? It isn't an unbalanced hog. It handles well, cuts great, and runs like a 372xp (power wise). But lb for lb. My 460 was a lot faster stock (I know it's smaller, but I was expecting more). I will give it the fair break in, then review again. For the record. My 460 is Nasty... Like ripping out of your hands Nasty.
I normally wear chaps. But I am a trained professional Don't mind me getting the bar stuck either. I normally would roll it off the 2 parallel logs, but the 1st couple dropped right off. So I let it be. And the chain needed tightened. A little. .
Yeah they do. My 261 has the same sound to it. My buddy thought I had worked over the muffler on my 441 and 261 and I had to admit they are still bone stock. But then, he was used to the roar of my 460s with dual ports. I think a lot of the newer Stihls with Strato engines have better sounding/less restrictive mufflers on them. My 441's exit port is a lot bigger than a stock 440/460.
That's what I am hoping Need to sell this other 036 Pro, and run a few more tanks. Then it will wind up on Cuddle Lane
I have at least two machines that I'm hoping to send your way at some point Randy. (Betcha can't guess which two! ) Once I get done stuffing my driveway full of wood that is!
