    Yea there is a cold weather shutter.

    And weather can effect tune

    They can. My 390 had a split and it would be fine for a few tanks then have a Danny idle and weird wide open. I would do everything then finally tore it down to find a split fuel line outside the tank between it and carb.

    I had a split fuel line at the filter in my 650. If it was less than half full it would suck air. New fuel line fixed it. Problem would only show up less than half dull and usually had no effect on idle or startup.

    Too dark? I guess if he was familiar with your oil brand and how dark it was at certain mix ratios...they all have different dye and colorring. I mix at 32:1 it runs just like 50:1 and id imagine " you" probably would not see a difference mixed at 16-25:1 over 50:1.
