    I clean mine every time I take it out …… if not it dosent use bar oil properly . I would definitely clean a 171 out . I believe that’s one of those epa regulated ones you cannot adjust the bar oiler. Clean and sharpen good in a vise every time . A clean sharp saw will alway preform well safely .

    I do have one. Use it for plywood and sometimes framing. I hand nail roofing shingles. I WONT use a nail gun to fasten roof shingles.
