    Is this blower worth repairing?

Click for the video of the view from the muffler port:

It had fuel all over the spark plug area. A ripped spark plug boot with the torsion spring piercing the wire (I don't think that's the way it's supposed to work). Also the muffler was 100% disconnected and just rattling around in there. All 3 screws were gone as was the muffler gasket.

There is a bit of corrosion on the valve rod. I can't see anything but what you see in the video. I'm doing this for my friend's brother. I could buy a new ignition module (oem) for $120 but that seems like a huge gamble. It also needs a new set of anti-vibration mounts and an air filter.

Click for a quick video of me pulling the starter with no ignition coil. Sounds like it has compression and the rope is not easy to pull.

Well it would seem that that IS the way the spark plug wire works. I never knew that. What the.....?

I found this here pic and just put it back together, attached the muffler sans gasket, and it started right up and sounded fine.

The Br600 evidently is a low-revving, low-sound unit and I whipped out the tach. 2400rpm at idle and 6800 at max throttle, right in line with what it should be (perhaps a tad low on the high side but I'm ok with that).

I guess I just need a new air filter, a gasket, and a set of anti-vibe bushings for the cage. Woo hoo!
