    Good outcome for the OP.

You should see what a mess milling 2-3 gallons of fuel worth does to a saw with all the refills and spilling fuel and oil everywhere when having to refill in the cut on an angle

I hope they handle it as well as the first dealer did.

I always check my saw before use. Takes a couple min to look over things when I refuel I ha Eva rag to clean around oil and fuel caps. When I'm done for the day I clean the saw not always a real through cleaning but it gets wiped off and the filter cleaned and saw dust blown off every thing Cheap insurance in a expensive tool is my outlook

The new stihls at least like the 291 and I bet all the homeowner saws that end in "1" now you have to remove the whole top plastic with 3 or 4, t27 screws. I bet many never get checked cause of that. A toolless air cover is always the beat thing in my opinion. Even not mechanical types know its in there and that it should be cleaned somehow every so often. When I saw that new "streamline" cover that had to be removed I said I bet not many people will check the filter under that!

Its a pain for someone like me who cleans their saw regularly But at the same time neglect means more sales and service of saws I guess and I bet your right. The avg user those saws are marketed toward might only use a saw a handful of times a year if that and never clean or service them

The 211 is tool-less top cover. Just slide the black area back and remove. That 180 is tool less cover too that I am giving dad. Just twist the black deal on back.
