Any stihl saw made in the last 30-35 years that starts with an "0" and ends with an even number is a pro saw.

Thanks for the good info. I don't buy any saw with plans to resell although I will sell one occasionally. I don't want a collection of homeowner saws and I already have a variety of saws in the range of size and power to handle anything I'll be cutting. I guess I'm saying I don't need any more saws but I'm still looking for more lol. I didn't think about the Dolmar/Makitas, my 5105 is a great saw.

So a ms650 is just a newer version of an 064. I understand now.

Not exactly. It shares very few, if any parts with the 064. (The 064, while a member of the 1122 series, is somewhat of a unique saw. The 064>066 relationship is similar to the 044/MS440>046/MS460 relationship.). However everything is interchangeable with the MS660. They only offered the 650 for a few years and it was a SLOW seller. $100 less than a 660, less power, and every ounce of the weight. Not real appealing to most.
