All it takes is good bar oil and a properly adjusted loop.

All of the saws get treated the same with the only difference being the bar.

    So....

Because of this thread I have new Sugi 16" light bar on the way for my 241. I've always preferred the look of those anyway. I had the site saved in my bookmarks but forgot aboot it. I already have a new never used Stihl light bar for it. I have issues.
    :headbang:
Driver link count is 55 for both so that's a plus. Price with shipping for the Sugi was about the same as the Stihl bar was from my local dealer. Maybe eventually my 201 will wear that 16" stihl light bar or that tank of a turd 011 AVT. The extra sausage stuffed into the 201 should allow it to pull it without issue if it winds up there.

If they offered an 18" sugihara light in the Stihl 3005 mount pattern Ida up sized.

I'm sure the Stihl is based on another Sugi I have here for the Rotten Raspberry but I'll weigh them for you.

See, if you sold me that 241 you wouldnt be having this "dilemma"! ;)

Ive been told the Stihl lightweight is lighter than the tsunami bars, Let us know the weight difference.

Wonder how Cannon bars weigh in. No pun intended! Own any?

I paid 140.00 each for two light stihl 28 incher from the dealer last week. I couldn't find any Tsumara bars online. Even amazon said they were sold out. Are stihl bars more expensive on the east coast?

I think the Sugi and Tsumura bars are better.

I'll let you know the weight of the two in here. No cannon bars. I guess I could buy one of them too lol.

I get the same feeling but haven't ran anything enough to wear a bar out. The cutting I do gets spread around many saws. Looks department there is no comparison. I'm not a fan of so much white on the Stihl saws.

The stihl light bars wear the same as the regular es bars. I have one tsunami bar and it’s been impressively durable, but it’s not as impressively light as the stihl light. The only bar I have that’s at risk of getting worn out is the 16” rollomatic e on the 261. The moral of this story is buy more saws to save on bars and chains. :saw:

Standard Cannon are not light at all, but they have the reputation of being thee best.

For some reason i dont like a different brand bar on a stihl saw. You were the one who educated me on the lighter weight of the Stihl vs. the tsunami bars. Its my understanding Cannon bars are top of the line.
If lighter then stihl id consider going that route. And i have enough saws for the bar wearing problem. Problem is i like running a 20" bar on all the bigger saws. 460 wearing it now.

Know a guy who has a NIB MS260. I keep pestering him for it. Contractor friend who i work with on occasion. He'll ask what i want for working and i say that saw. He knows what its worth.
