I picked this Stihl 028 Wood Boss about a year ago and have not used it. Put some gas in it and took it outside and she roared to life. It has seen some use but still has life left in it. No broken plastics but the chain brake is not currently functioning but I have not delved into it to determine why. Has a Stihl bar and the chain will need replacing after a few more sharpenings, I am asking $175.00 plus shipping from 40509.

Looks like it will clean up well. The bar looks like it has more hours on it than the saw does.

X2. The saw actually looks like it will clean up to be a nice Minty model. Not a lot of paint missing anywhere. Great saws.

The 028 I had was one of better running 50cc saws I have ran.

So with all the CAD going on at the house, I went out to the garage for a look. This what I found..

Thanks, but I haven't got it yet. First thing will be to check out that chain break. Then a good bath. Then right into some wood!

She finally showed yesterday. After a little disassembly and some cleaning I've come to the conclusion that there is no chain brake. Appears to be some mounting points for the system but none of the internal pieces for it are there. So I put her back together and gave her some fluids. Put her in some silver maple and she tore through it nicely.

She is a good addition to the saw collection we have here.

    Not TOO flashy, kinda.
Fitted with some new running gear today

Thought about going 20" but decided to stick with a new 18" bar and chain. She runs great! Starts right up!

Did you buy that RM2 chain recently? They have been discontinued for awhile now.

EDIT: It looks like that chain is on the old bar.

Those are some crazy spikes on that 028! o_O :D
