2 different fuel lines exist. Do you have the straight version or the larger one shaped like an ā€œSā€?

There are actually 3 different fuel lines, one is NLA. It is on the early 026's iirc. it has a smaller grommet, I have had to drill the hole in 2 tanks bigger to make the newer line fit.

I ended up putting in the straight version.

New fuel line and filter. Also rebuilt the carb. Went to start it for the first time with rebuilt carb n she started first pull on full choke. Ran for less than 10 seconds when I tried putting it on half choke it died. Would not start after that. Any ideas?

Probably carb rebuild didn't work. Did you pull welch plug and clean 3-4 tiny holes underneath? I'd just get an AM carb.

metering side - lever/needle. An alum disk (~3/8" diam) that you pry out and clean out holes underneath. You gotta have a new one that fits to lightly tap back in.

Thanks for the info. I think at this point I may just order a brand new carb off eBay. Suggestions? Are any of the carbs that are listed for the 026/260 gonna work?

As huskihl posted, Definitive Dave has good ones. but he's out of stock. Look for WT-194 clone that is fully adjustable.
