Man.. This was a good deal. I would have bought that in a minute.

Pete, after running it myself, I doubt you will be disappointed..

Swags, what are we buying next? ;) I have my eye set... Do you?

    GTG is quickly approaching :)

I was referring to the craftsman 2.0 at the gtg. The o21 I'm probably getting sent in to one of the great saw guys here for a hot rod.

I saw one here a few months back I just did not feel like driving an hour plus to look at it.

There is a stihl top handle around here that I have my eye on as well but its an hour or more I think.

Your going to be pretty limited in what you can do to an 021 Pete. Clamshell engine and open transfer ports will limit its potential. Give it a good muffler mod and a re-tune and get to work!

Yep..... it will change its whole attitude if you let it breath. IIRC that muffler is a good one for the "fish gills".

Who ever bought that saw will be happy. I have an 021 that I did a top end rebuild on in 1995 and has been one of the limbing saws and odd job friend ever since. Has probably run through about 100 cords. Still pulls 125 PSI of compression.

Wife loves running the saw now and so do others when they are out cutting with me.
Yes you do need to adjust the carb for air temp and conditions a bit more than other saws though.

Eghh embarrassed to admit this but I changed the plug in it twice since I had rebuilt the saw. Second plug was in for many moons and was pretty eroded but the saw had still run nice on it. HA, I wanted to do a torture test on that saw. (Was a free saw that came through the shop I worked at)
