Stihl 015T for $50.....

I'm surprised to see the love here for the 015T's here! My understanding was that they were one of the first "homeowner grade" saws that Stihl produced, and they weren't really that good.

My dad has one in his barn, and I think he also got grandpa's 015T when he passed away. I fondly remember the days of my youth watching dad trying to start his up and cursing. Then he'd take it to the local Stihl dealership who would "fix" it, but it never really ran for much more than a tank or two before it would refuse to fire back up again.

I've often thought of getting both of those saws from dad and trying to get at least one of them running, but my understanding is that they were basically disposable saws and once they were done, you might as well forget about them. Is that not the case? Are they completely repairable (although I have no idea what's wrong with them)?
