Hope you get to filling better squarefile told me you was not feeling good. My daughter had bad congestion in her chest and had to go to dr this weekend
Here's hoping that trend continues and accelerates. Being sick is no fun. Too sick to work is even worse.
I've watched that post rip racing in oz for about 5 years now. Brutal on saws and operator, I wouldnt last. They got my respect.
Randy, the water is fine here and good place to chillout......... at the end of the day. Have dinner with a cold drink and then chillout............
Just showing a pic of a 3120 WG2. The big boy of the wg's. Looking through it looked like it could swallow a golf ball. On my alky 166.
It sure is nice to have a peek in to see the work you do thanks for sharing. I feel that way after finding this site myself. The one thing I can say for sure that has helped me is being able to go thru the old posts on that other site to help me fix the tools I use.I just want to say thank you because its guys like you that have shared information that has allowed me to gather information and problem solve to do the work on my saws.
Randy, any difference to your approach on porting this saw, since it is being built primarily for milling and not cookie cuttin? Thanks for doing a thread on my saw by the way.
Randy, As of this moment I couldn't do what you do if I had 4 hands, two brains, and a case of beer. But I'm a firm believer that I can do anything I set my mind to given enough pictures and videos. I doubt I'll even port a saw but I still appreciate you bringing your knowledge and wonderful content to this site...I learned something today and value it highly....and I look forward to more in the future. Thanks. Luke
Not too much really. This is where you'll find the "insurance"....... I'd like to see this saw used on 32:1 and tuned rich when milling.
Even as a very "non-saw guy", I'm still appreciative of all the guys who migrated. These threads are very interesting to me. Who else wants to do a saw build thread? Go for it!
More pics...... As a result of dropping the jug to increase compression, the flywheel now hits the transfer bulge..... On this saw I normally reshape the back of the flywheel on the lathe.......but since I'm doing two jugs, and only have the one bottom end here, I'll just make a clearance divot in the cylinder. Measuring the thickness on the material........just to be sure. .120" = plenty of thickness. And the divot.
