Some more pics.... Checking squish clearance after taking .050" from the squish band. Don't let anyone tell you that's it's ok to delete a base gasket with checking squish clearance. Without a gasket, and after taking out .050", we now have .055". Getting setup to cut the base. This mandrel is 58mm on one end, and 60mm on the other. Checking run out on the mandrel. And cutting the base finally.
Now back to the muffler..... Here's the new deflector. Jon brazed it on the plate he made with it attached to the muffler can, to keep it from warping up. He just sat it down here for a pic...
