There's more than one member around here that does that. Scrounge-n-scavenge for resale. Whatever it takes to get the bills paid.
Aha, so you just started off on the right foot. I've bought logs to stay ahead. There's almost zero scrounging around here. Anyone cutting trees saves everything but pine. Pine goes to the chipper. Luckily I have access to a few acres, unfortunately it is mostly pine on gravel hillls.
yooperdave, Just curious. We have a place on Thunder Lake about 20 miles Northwest of Manistique. Wondered if you knew where that is. Built in 1972. My brother now lives there year round. I donn't get up there very othen. 365 milews one way from where I live. A ton of memories though.
