    If I put the block down 1st I would spend all summer trying to get my Jack Russells out from under my stacks, LOL!

    Yea they are cool dogs who don't have any fear. My FIL's sleeps under his wood stove. He also has a Rottweiler. His Jack Russell will shoot out and nail the Rottweiler for no obvious reason. The Rottweiler is scared of the Jack Russell while they are inside.

    I stack my wood in a shed with plenty of ventilation, the summers' heat works well for pulling the moister out.

    Yep, bitternut and pignut both and some shagbark. Plus red oak, white oak, cherry, a whole lotta ash, some bradford pear, a couple varieties of maple and some osage. That's all I can remember but there's probably more!
