Stacking preference?

If I put the block down 1st I would spend all summer trying to get my Jack Russells out from under my stacks, LOL!

 

Ha! Jack Russells are cool. Here is my FIL's. She escorts me all over the farm.

 

I have 2 sisters. They are pretty cool dogs. They think they are grizzly bears on the inside.

 

Yea they are cool dogs who don't have any fear. My FIL's sleeps under his wood stove. He also has a Rottweiler. His Jack Russell will shoot out and nail the Rottweiler for no obvious reason. The Rottweiler is scared of the Jack Russell while they are inside.

 

Here they are looking out from under their stove at the mini Dachshund on his memory foam bed!

 

I like my Jacks mixed with a little Beagle...nose with an attitude, here she is on the right.

 

I stack my wood in a shed with plenty of ventilation, the summers' heat works well for pulling the moister out.

 

My FIL's jrt is mixed with something. They think it is chihuahua.

 

My stacks are more "traditional" for now. I'm working on a different set up in the future.

 

Is that some Bitternut hickory, or Pignut Hickory I see there? Nice stacks.

 

Yep, bitternut and pignut both and some shagbark. Plus red oak, white oak, cherry, a whole lotta ash, some bradford pear, a couple varieties of maple and some osage. That's all I can remember but there's probably more!

 

I've put a metal rood on since this pic and have an 8 foot sliding door on the other side which i can and do lock.
