It literally turned green 2 days ago. I came home from work and what all used to be light brown, was a beautiful lush green!! :)

It's a warm welcome after this past winter. It was pretty harsh for everyone.

We are even starting to see some green. Today also we found my wife's crocus flowers blooming, finally.

They are Stack n Store brackets made by Rutland. You add 2 x 4 and 4 x 4's. Make to any length you want.

Mine are 12 ft long x 4.5 foot tall. With my length of splits, they are 5/8 of a cord per rack.

I used to have them close to the house. But I have slowly transitioned to storing all the wood, exempt the current seasons wood (kept in wood shed near house).

Blooms are everywhere around here now. This was this evening, just down the road from the house. Hundreds of them in this pic. Hard to see just how many there was.

It's almost time to cut here. But it's way to wet right now. My mower would sink in this slop.

    Yep... Daffodils they are :)

And there is a small pit in the back by the barn.

My son and I spent 3 hours cleaning up and getting the next 3 racks in place for the rest of the wood.

These pics are from last Fall. Just after the GTG in Oct. I need to bring all these cookies up to the house to burn for next season. Nothing goes to waste :)

The wood chips keep the weeds at bay. So spread them all around the cutting area

The pit by the house is nicer. The one in the back is just some pacers thrown together

This one was dug out, lined with rock, and has firebrick at the back end to cook on. (Also brick is laid on the bottom in a pattern).

With the cost of the wood, brackets, lag bolts, and screws. I was in to each rack about $70. But they have held up for 4 years now, and I have taken them from up by the house and moved all my future wood back by the barn. I put a front on the wood shed and just keep this year's wood in there.

Pics from 3 years ago when I stored it all near the house.

This is last year. The last 3 racks were still full. They are now back by the barn

Yeah... I got rid of it before our fall GTG last year.

This is a close pic of it...

    20140914_123320.jpg

Then a pic the day that my son and I laid havoc on their world!! You can see the foam that is still stuck to the outside

    20140914_123644.jpg

The shed used to be almost in front of the barn. But a winter storm 1.5 years ago picked it up and moved it. This pic is from a few years ago. But you can see where the shed was originally.
