Yep, I installed the switch in the position where the contact would jump to the same bars I had I jumped to in manual.

Looks like the board you have is an older unit. The control board doesn't match whats in the manual from the web site. I'm digging to see if there is an older manual kickin around, But I think the jumpers on the back are different programs(feed rates).

When it shuts down is it flashing one of the heat indicator led lights?

If the switch is doing exactly what the jumper did then it should act exactly the same as the jumper assuming you have good connections and no solder bridges, as jtakeman says that doesn't exactly match the manuals online.

That controller looks like mine to some degree and if it sort of is the same those jumpered pins select cycle timings.

I found this in a 2009 control board manual. Its what I thought, They are for the feed rates.

I'd have a dig through this manual to see what it might have to help ya. The PDF is too large, You'll have to download from link posted.

Wellllll, i discovered one more clogged area in the stove. Don't know how i missed this one but i honestly thought it was supposed to be there. I tried to pull the ash clean out rod the other day and noticed that the grate wouldn't budge. I kept looking at the screw that attaches the shaker plate to the clean out plate thinking i had something in wrong because it seemed like the screw was stopping it from moving. When i first started cleaning this stove out i reached below the ignitor to check for ash buildup but it felt like a wall below it and i thought nothing of it. When i originally pulled the versagrate rod it looked like some type of hard insulation inside the hole that the rod went through. Turns out that "wall" i felt and the "insulation" i saw was a solid block of ash! o_O I had to break it apart with a screwdriver. Now the ash cleanout works just fine :emb:

    Here's the culprit

Pretty much! I'm not kidding when i say the entire area in front of the burn pot was jammed solid with that stuff. It felt like part of the stove. A few of those pieces were actually tough to break apart.

You could run a line from the senate and the whitehouse and have fuel for the rest of your life.

You need to pass it through decontamination first or you might catch something.

That's amazing that someone could not spend even a hour a year to do some cleaning. Looks like you are going to have a smooth runner by the time you are done!!

Don't know how I missed this thread, but it has been a very interesting read. Smokinpiney you got a good deal and my money is on you getting that stove up and running the way it was intended. Pellet stoves are not for the plug and play crowd. Once you get through this you will be another experienced pellet stove owner ready to help the next guy.
krooser used to have a saying in his signature that was something about the majority of pellet stove issues being related to a dirty stove. That saying stuck with me. It is so true.
