I was able to spend a couple more hours on mine yesterday. I need to thin the rakers, tunnel, polish rivets and touch up once more before I test run.
Well, I spent a little time on mine tonight. I am thinking if I am going to file a square, might as well see where I want to go, maybe the brakes get pressed, maybe not and I could sacrafice one chain for this event. For some reason, I have been doing great with the 3 corner since cleaning the gullet. My question is this; how much of the rear cutter is removed or clipped ? Are there any rules for pivoting before/after the rivet ........... that might limit the length that can be clipped, and is there any shape or angle that works best when the cutters are clipped ?
Front of cutter even with front of rivet is about where you want the cutter. The back Imiss preference really and what size saw they're run on. Smaller saws benefit more from the extra work to clear chips.
Dont forget to work on the chassis for the faster chains. Small gains add up. Using round and goofy files.

I feel like I am out in the cold on your details Here is RSL stock (rakers measure .025) and my RSL modified after I got much better with the 3 corner and double bevel ........ still working on it !!!
Thx Hedgerow.......I opened my big mouth and said I'd get in the chain competition. I was just going to square one and send, then I thought go big or go home
Thx Mike and Dex.........I don't know how it will cut but I have a lot of time in it. I'll find out Oct 4th.
