That's the best way to work with firewood… a little at a time, when you feel like it… After I did some blaster whacking along the stonewalls with the DR today I sat in the shop looking out at my wood drying in the sun, with the wind howling. I'll bet every FHC member has done the same thing with their stacks… if not, they should. Once in a while it's good for building up steam…
Pulled the mower out of the shed to see if I could get it started. It did, so I felt a need to mow, and I did. I take a walk out to the stacks almost daily to re-calculate what I need and where it's goning to go when I get it. Then, I check for checks in the ends of the splits, because as we all know, that's the best way to know if it's dry or not. Now that I've been into this for a few weeks, it's getting a little easier and less painful afterwards. Working in the garden tomorrow, and might get to cut some Oak Sunday if it doesn't rain. WOW 70s here today, sunny. Mid 40s at night. Garden mostly in, Robins & Blue Martin arrived a few days ago, Be mowing grass soon. I do have wood in the basement ready to go, Close to 18 hours of sun, should stay above freezing (I hope )
