Splitting in the dark

It was such a nice day weather wise and very productive firewood wise. So I decided to keep going for another couple hours.

 

Nice when it's nice out, and you're all set up, with a fire to boot, why not?

 

Nice inviting set up with the lanterns and firepit. Dont blame you for wanting to keep going. Stacks and shed looking great.

Sandhillbilly that's awesome. Just throw the splitter scraps in the barrel and keep warm! I'm using it!

 

That's exactly what I do, except I'm a day splitter 99% of the time.

So I split up some of my super dry elm. Would love to have had a fire going mostly for ambiance, but it’s so dry around here there ain’t no way I’m starting an outdoor fire. The last picture of the single lantern at the wood shed was a couple days earlier, just because I got a new ( to me) lantern. Actually was manufactured in 1931 or 32

 

Looking good over there. Yeah nothing like a fire while working outside. Send some of that warm weather and dry ground here. Mud season will be upon us very soon once the snow melts.

We finally got a light pole built for Blue Samson and tried it out Wednesday night.

 

I need to put a light pole on my splitter. Just need a 240v light for it…

 

Why not come off 1 leg and ground for 120v?

 

I have 2 hots and a ground that is connected to the motor housing/splitter body. I don’t want to put any voltage into the body of the splitter.
