Good looking nice long stack. Now you just need someone to tell you that will go bad before you can burn it all.....

I definitely have more wood on the property right now than I ever have. I did split some and threw it on a pile. Don’t like doing that but I want to get the splitter back to my son. Left it like this:

Or the old line, what are you going to do with all that?

Nice work Jason. It was a beautiful weekend to do some processing.

Thats a lot of wood right there. Congrats on making FBCJ!

Speaking of mowable rows between stacks, I've decided to gravel the strip north of my big row. It's not growing grass well due to lack of sunlight. Mulch might work, and wouldn't be as permanent as gravel. But Gravel will be a good driveable surface, esp with 3" deep in some spots, and it will keep weeds down near the stack.

Good to see the hoarding going at a good speed though!!

Another way to look at it. Block the access for the mower and you’ll never see the grass behind it. Out of sight out of mind.
    Nice stacks.

I like the idea of gravel. Mulch will eventually break down and turn to dirt and mud. I should get some in between my stack and the garage. :salute:

I wouldn't want to mow between stacks...unless using a mulcher maybe...otherwise all the grass would be blown all over the stacks...hold moisture and meeces!

The gravel I like is maybe 3/4" with a mix of stone chips (not dust). that stuff packs as hard as concrete. Grass won't grow through it for anything.
The only reason I'd go with mulch, is so the place can go back to grass if/when we ever leave here. Or if I move the stack. But I reckon I don't see that happening any time soon.

Decided to mound the rest up so I can get the splitter back to my son before the summer heat sets in. Gave it about an hour or so this evening.

I’ll keep plugging away till done. Almost finished the oak, then on to the honey locust.

You're doing a fine job. When you take that splitter back you're welcome to come due west and work some more oak.

Great day for it compared to last week. Cool with a good breeze here. No firewooding for me though!
