Auto cycle would make it perfect. It’s got everything else. Was it < 10k?

I just correct that post. It has auto cycle, I meant to say AUTO THROTTLE.

Being a one man band, it spends a fair amount of time not splitting as I pull rounds off the stack, split and restack. Not real efficient but I am not going to pick it up off the ground. It would take 3-4 people to really utilize efficiently.

yep, and it wouldn't take much to limit the stroke, like you have shown. Just as long as your detent valve adjustment is set correctly and not too high. Otherwise it may turn into a bolt shearing apparatus. ;) :D

The huskee is getting a new draw bar this year I’ll have to see what I can do for a limiter while I’m working on it.

Sometimes we buy things that aren't always essential. But I find that there is a lot of joy in using fine tools. For example I have some high end diesel mowers that are effortless to use. A $1,000 POS mower from a box store will cut grass, you will feel like you got off a paint shaker and hate mowing. Will 10 super cheap riders last longer than one good one? I don't know, and really don't care.

This is just "mad money", firewood paid for it. All I have is my time in it.

Fair point. I really think any of us on FHC could justify a pretty healthy expense on quality tools for firewood use.

Seriously, I have NEVER discussed purchases of any firewood related expenses with the "Better Half". She doesn't care

AND I never tell her what to do either.

Same. She may ask why I needed another chainsaw. I ask why she needs 6 kayaks.

Easier to justify and very rewarding to make a pirchase knowing firewood paid for the whole thing! Congratulations!

Isn't that a fact. I get to go look at Quartz countertops this morning.:picard::hair:

And I have wood to split and a bracket to assemble for the air dryer on the plasma cutter. (paint is now dry, made it yesterday.)

Easier to beg for forgiveness than ask permission. LOL

    Just kidding ,
My wife completely understands and never really questions what I purchase for firewood and / or lawn equipment. She actually supports me buying better equipment to make my life easier as I have gotten older.
I just ordered a sub-compact tractor/loader and she was 100% me doing so. She actually was part of the reason I went with new instead of a used machine.
I work hard at a second job in order to do things such as this. None of the money I use for this type of thing comes out of our house fund , it's what I call play money.
