Split the small stuff

Nice break in the weather this afternoon. Had a chance to split the small stuff I’ve been cleaning out of the woodlot. This show I’ll be enough to finish filling the wood shed for next year.

how much will your shed hold? Is it all smaller diameter wood similar to what your pics showed?

 

I’m figuring I will have nearly 3 cord in there this year after I am done filling. This last batch is mostly the small Winter cleanup stuff I cut last weekend. I’m hoping to sell some more wood out of the carport cover and when I refill that, I should have close to 10 cord in there to sell next Winter.

do you sell full or partial cords? I can only do 1/2 cords/face cords as i only have an F150 to deliver it. I did a tally today and im up to roughly 21 cord! Its been a BANNER year for scrounging around here for me!

 

I don’t deliver. I’ve sold pickup loads and measure to see how much of a cord it is. Usually letting it go for around $140 a cord.

WOW! I get $140 for half cord of hardwood, delivered usually within ten miles of me. Its my understanding there is not a lot of hardwood where you are? My cousin lives in NW Montana and he tells me its all softwood.

 

sorry i misread your post. So a PU full you sell for $140. Thought read cord for $140. A heaping PU for me is half cord based on my measurements.

 

Some of the west coast conifers are high btu
Douglas fir and western hemlock I know are up there unlike hemlock on the east coast
