    Cant complain with ash for sure. But it doesnt burn like hick! But ill take it all!!!!!!!

    Funny , I brought in a bag of shag bark n ash mix to go in the stove in a little while, to try out , should give a good long fire

    Stinky? Hmm, it smells great. Plus the btus of shag are so much higher than ash. Really the only negative to shag is the bark. You have to be careful when cutting it.

    The shag lasts so long, and puts out so much heat. You burned it before, no?

    Cutting shag without safety glasses is a like star wars light speed but its bark wizzing by your face only bad part about it... i dont cut wihour safety glasses just saying
    Hickory smells great coming out of the stack outside.

    As long as it spits you hand back out, OK. I worked with a nurse who had two of those dogs. She was a little blond, single. She lost one and is devastated about it.

    Kind of a rare dog i have never ran into anyone else with them. But we live a town population 900 and 1/2 hour from city with 10k

    I wish.... no top cop cover on this stuff.. what i cut this winter and split will be tho. Tomm and mon will be a hard day. I " plan" to split the rest of my pile .want it done and out of my way. Hopefully

    I have the uglies & some cleanup to tend do,
    but with rain, then snow forecast for tomorrow
    Then to be in the teens ,
    It can wait until Spring if needed. Wood is stacked :)
