Last pic is all the odd pieces I use in my stove to start and end the season. Measures out to almost 84 face cord in the barn! Feels good! Now, it’s on to the outside stash that needs split and stacked. 22872822-2D0F-4D4F-9943-61E269812D6E.jpeg

How many cords do you sell a year or do you sell wood.

I’ve sold some for the last three or four seasons. I plan to sell some this year. We’ll see how much. I really enjoy it and it helps clean up the in-laws woods after they were logged 2 different times over the past 5 years. Not sure how much I will sell this next year. We’ll see how I feel once it starts disappearing.

7522DD19-28F4-44CE-98AF-C6068A66571F.jpeg Got out for a little bit this afternoon with the kids between shifts for a little stacking. They had fun and were very helpful. Treat from the gas station already is a motivator:drool: Beautiful day!

Boy those little rounds add up! Got out for a couple hours this afternoon with the kids and stacked another 4 face cord. I’ll burn all of this in bonfires this summer and my furnace in the fall. Still not done with the pile yet! 6 face cord total so far. 435F825C-29B3-4B0B-A7A4-165C5D267047.jpeg 5711A5EA-8CB8-4C64-8202-C71054A71541.jpeg

Oh my goodness! As a car hoarder in a densely populated location I often deal with the small stuff like fallen branches so I know how tedious it can be to cut that stuff all to size. Great perseverance you have and nice that your children are being exposed to the process. Also like your simple and matter-o-fact way of making quick firewood racks, very effective and free so I will keep that idea in mind. My small diameter rounds never look that good when stacked in my racks....and I have nicer racks!:(

Thank you! It all adds up. I don’t cut really small stuff, but feel that if I’m gonna handle it I’m gonna burn it:coldfire: can be quite tedious though

Haftacut Look at the bright side, you don't have to split any of it. It is a lot of work to cut it up but it is nice to skip one of the steps you usually have. I have lots of wood like that, especially with all of the dead standing elm.

Towards the end of the afternoon, splitting on his own while I stacked. My wife helped for about an hour. Notice the pile in relation to the splitter in the first pic compared to the second pic for an idea of how much of the pile is gone. 2 rows 4K’ high and 24 feet long split and stacked. Hopefully do at least that much again tomorrow. Lovely day to be out there.:stacker:

He was operating the ram while I would handle the wood, and then for maybe 30 minutes total, he was doing both while I would stack to catch up.
