I got some doug fir! Still have to split it though.... But still, I've never had it before so I am excited to try it.
I'll jump into this. In the last week I've acquired, left to right, red oak, soft mail, hop hornbeam, white ash, yellow birch, popple. Forgot to add the basswood, split into kindling today. I envy the variety some of you get.

I'm working on as much ash as I can, while I can before it goes bad. So the total number is species will be limited for me for a few more years as it has for the last 4-5 years.

They really like to shoot off a lot of branches in close proximity along the trunk from my experience.
