I've kept my car (69 AMC Javelin) almost bone stock, right down to the original vacuum wipers. It does have electronic ignition now because I hate farting around with points. There isn't really such a thing as "numbers matching" in the AMC world, but mine is darn close. If I had a set if Magnum 500 wheels then I'd be almost right where the car was when it left Kenosha. I consider it as a tribute to the people that designed and built the car. Although some of the resto mod cars that are around now are pretty cool.

To keep on the Mopar topic, I always wanted a 72 Road Runner....

Nice work on the Javelin, nice to see it still running! One of my HS friends had a Road Runner, I forget which year. Always liked them too! He beat my Dad's car the only time I raced him. Those runners were striped of weight to the bare bones, no carpet, radio, hub caps. However they did have heavy duty brakes. Bigger and lighter than a Cuda!
