That’s a crazy price! I wouldn’t pay that for a tote. It will outlast a lot of other materials but it’s not worth it for that price. Knowing what I know now I’d say anything over $50 and the seller isn’t honest.

That's what they get for the used ones that had something benign in them, say, olive oil for example that was easy to clean out, around here too. For a while they were fairly cheap, like 30 bucks, but then the supply and number of people selling them dried up.

All ones here that are clean are scooped up for sap transport, but even the aluminium cages without tub sell for 75 a piece.. I checked with farmer/neighbor he pays a deposit for them:bug:

I just bought one for work and it was $100, contained avocado oil. Around here, even the nasty ones that contain chemicals or glue can still fetch $50-$75 because people want the cages. I only have one tote at home and am planning on using it for a rainwater collection system. Could use a couple more clean ones and as many cages as I can get my hands on, but they are tough to get.

I have been starting to stockpile these (freebies). I have plans to store my wood in the woods in them, rather than taking up yard space. Bring them down & out as needed. I have 3 so far, but the plastic tanks were already removed so I have to come up with another kind of lid for them. I would like to have 10-12 of them eventually.

I only want enough for 'bookends'. One on each end of a row of pallets, I can put the irregulars/uglies in the cages and the good stuff on the pallets.

Well tonight is crunch night... I’m spending all of next week in Hartford MI on a robot farm ( Just found out today ) sooo I am getting these done tonight. Almost there!

I’ve got an idea for connecting the tops too hopefully it works... I’d like them to be a wall of roof for the winter. I might use one of the totes for rain water too. IF I can find the right one that will be food grade or detergent.

wildwest I haven’t forgot ya! I’ll look tonight after I go in... 894D4924-1081-4C68-AC22-4104A3C8254B.jpeg

Idea using left over plastic for a roof between the two that is easily removed for summer spring and fall.

It’s a GEA monobox robot dairy farm. This one is set up as stalls that the cows walk into and get milked robotically.

It can be run manually I need be but it’s normal operation is no humans.
