Sometimes I hate free wood!

    That looks like a nice splitter! I'm working on just inverting a basic splitter from my dad's old mtd splitter. Probably won't get much use as I don't sell wood, so just building something simple for now to crack the big ones down to a manageable size.

    After the first time you have the bigger saw to handle it, then you’re back to free wood. No problem other than time and sweat!

    I thought about building one like that but its very hard to position it since it sits so far away from the machine. Also I can split from the side or roll the bucket down and split down from the top.

    Funny thing is I got a tree guy dumping a load of ash at my house today, it'll probably be there when I get home from work. No idea what to expect quite honestly, but he's a neighbor up the road and burns wood himself so I think he understands the common man's limitations. That being said, this thread got some wheels turning in my head about dropping money on a big saw.........:whistle:
