    I don't know "If" you can do it there at your home town but some Hospitals will allow you to come right in the hospital and donate. I did it in the Navy.:yes:

    Same goes for donations for animals. Best to give directly to your local shelter. In any case, check out where your donations goes if you want it to help a need.

    My blood goes to the Nebraska Community Blood bank. Like CoachSchaller said, I do it to help those in need. A few years ago there were articles about our area Goodwill and how the local CEO makes close to a million a year plus perks. Salvation Army always seems to be a good cause.
