I like this, I was going cut and split out in the woods but I think this will be better. Bring the logs to the spot where it is going to be stacked. And no trailer to get a flat tire! Did you put an angle cut on the "stringers"? The found here I very rocky I wold think fetching up on one could cause a problem. Stop you short or tear something up.
