Super happy to see this load show up, I have been plagued with supply problems. But finally connected with a reliable supplier. Of course it started dumping rain the minute he showed up!
Yessir, this would be a 13 cord load. Up here we deal in face cords and a load like this is generally 35-40 depending on how gnarly the wood is. This wood is pretty straight so I am expecting close to 40.
Yep mostly white with a bit of yellow. The locals up here call the yellow Merisier, which translates to cherry. Comes from many moons ago when early settlers here noticed similarities with wild cherry (europe) and the yellow birch, and it has stuck all these years.
He wasn't wasting any time, and still ended up with a neat stack. I enjoying watching folks that are good at their work.
Yeah, he is really good. My place is not easy to back into with a rig like that, he made it look easy. Took him maybe 25 minutes to unload, sweep the decks and get going.
